Understanding Atheism and other things

I was never a strict or fundamental Catholic. I don’t believe about some of the teachings of the church. I do practice going to the church and praying to God when I feel like it but I pray whenever and where ever I want. Simply put, I’m a non-practicing Catholic.

I try to keep an open mind about other religions and principles especially atheism. I’ve been reading different sources, even testimonials from others who were once Catholics or members of other religious groups who became atheists. But the more I read and try to understand about it and people who claim to be one, the more I believe in my own God.

I will probably believe in my own concept of God and faithfully follow what I believe. That is, I believe, fundamentally the same as being a hardcore theist and opposite of being a principled atheist (i’m referring to my sweety here… hehehehe).

Anyway, my current search for the truth has led me to many mysterious and unexplored territories. It’s a jungle out there and the people I met were really of higher intelligence and the principles and philosophies I’ve learned requires deep scholarly discussions (ok, some philosophies are really alien to me… or i’m not super intelligent to digest them all…). But we have to keep going to grasp the dream of learning about our existence, our beginning, our purpose.
